The practice nurses are professional people in their own right and may be seen by appointment.
They can often help with problems that patients may not wish to see the doctor about. They also provide many of the preventative monitoring and screening services for the practice and deal with the following:
Cervical Smears
Stop Smoking Advice
Contraception Advice
Hypertension
Diet
Diabetes
Asthma
Epilepsy
....and many other health promotion clinics.
District Nurse
To request a visit from the district nurses please telephone the surgery and leave a message with the reception for your Doctor to refer you. District Nurse appointments are in high demand and are for patients who are Housebound or unable to make it to the practice.
